Do I need special training in order to volunteer with wildlife?

Most volunteer experiences, like being a docent/guide or participating in monitoring or rescue, require some training. The good news is you don’t need a degree in wildlife biology. Many organizations provide the training you need for free. For more involved volunteer positions, organizations also typically ask for a consistent and longer-term time commitment to their program.
